Producing and organizing ideas on my Mac

Are you one of those people having a lot of ideas, endless scraps of papers or ascii text files laying around everywhere and no where? Having to write out ideas but get distracted by everything you see on your screen? Today I found two amazing applications I have searched for a long time. The first application is called Mori. It’s a digital notebook application for the mac. It has a very simple and no-nonsense interface and is focused on getting your stuff in there. When entering you do not need to worry about how to organize it, you can do this any time. It’s fully searchable and supports rich media so you can copy in links to web pages, pictures or whatever and of course it has labeling features and creates an search-able index of your notebook.

The second app is called WriteRoom. This a spartan approach to the word processor. You computer goes into full screen with only a blinking screen cursor and that’s it. It supports basic formatting. It really helps you keep focusing on the text. This is something which helps me a lot. I’m easily distracted and this app helps you get one with the text. I really believe it even improves what you are writing.
