I’m your DIT Slave today

DIT aka Divemaster in training or also known as tank slut. I love it. Running a dive operation is a very tough and demanding job. Parallel courses, boat dives, night boat dives and empty tanks to be filled. It is a very new experience to me but I love it. The cool thing about it is that you receive instant satisfaction. This week I had to assist an PADI Open Water class together with my sweet and very experienced instructor Mirjam. During this sessions I have to check whether people execute the required skills correctly and if they do it wrong or don’t understand I have to show them how to do it. This is a very good learning experience. But I really learned that I love teaching. That is why I have decided also to do my PADI Instructor. It depends a bit on when there is an Instructor Development Course planned on the island.
So far so good, I hope next week we have some time for doing some divemaster skill training and exams. But for now it is renting snorkels, filling tanks and helping people have a great stay on Bonaire.
I also do a 2 day bar tendering shift which is also fun to do but are long days. But hey it is free beer
